Hogan Gidley, National Communications Director, said: “Rick and his wife Karen are admitting their daughter Bella to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia this evening. The campaign will cancel Rick’s upcoming Sunday morning Florida campaign schedule. However, Rick intends to return to Florida and resume the campaign schedule as soon as is possible”

Bella Santorum, 3, suffers from trisomy and was not expected to live past her first birthday. Miraculously, she is alive today.

She is in the hospital tonight. As a result, Santorum cancelled campaign events in Florida and flew to Pennsylvania to be by her side. What a noble and virtuous thing to do. He is a great example for men to follow; I hope more young men aspire to be great fathers and husbands like him.

Please put aside your candidate preferences tonight and extend prayers for Isabella Santorum.

Earlier in the campaign season, Rick Santorum released this video about the importance of family and love for his daughter.

If you’re like me, you were brought to tears by this video. It is so touching and powerful. It goes to show that every child is a precious gift. It is amazing how beautiful the gift of life is.

Please have the Bella and the Santorum family in your thoughts and prayers tonight.

January 22, 2012 marks the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, some of the most controversial and equally anti-life court cases to ever be decided in the Supreme Court.

To counter this, pro-life activists have held a “March for Life” event each year to bring awareness to the importance of safe-guarding life for future generations. Each year, the event draws thousands of people from all across America – especially young people.

In 2011, the pro-life movement made great strides against the abortion industry. TurntheTide2012.com lists the following accomplishments:

• Planned Parenthood, our nation’s largest abortion provider was exposed as not only partners in sex crimes covering up statutory rape but also human trafficking.
• The U.S. House of Representatives, for the first time in its history, voted to federally defund Planned Parenthood and launched a formal investigation of its business practices.
• Nearly 30 abortion facilities shut down adding to the 1513 that have been shut down since 1991.
• Poll after poll revealed that this generation of young people, unlike previous generations of young people, is pro-life.
• The Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood’s research arm, reported that states enacted a record number of pro-life laws, 92 laws in 24 states, more than triple than the 23 enacted in 2010.

Today, I learned about a pro-life billboard campaign on my respective campus.

Library Walk – which plays host to student activities at UCSD – boasts two of these ads: one near Geisel Library, the other adjacent to Center Hall.

40 Million and Counting is the group behind this effort. Below is their mission statement:

Our mission statement at 40 Million and Counting is to educate the public about abortion through marketing and advertising that will create a lasting impact and from there direct those in need to people that can help.

40 Million and Counting will show the truth about abortion to our audience through love, and not hate, understanding and not judgment, and to provide solutions and not condemnation.

The group recently unveiled a third billboard on campus. Details are elaborated below:

It is encouraging to see these ads circulate on campus. As Americans become more pro-life, it is expected that the youth will follow suit.

This January marks the 2nd Annual National School Choice Week. Organizations, educators, activists, politicians, and parents are coming together to stand up for better education. This week-long event will take place from January 22-28, 2012.

Given the corrupt nature of teachers unions and the lack of attention allotted to student needs in schools, it is imperative to encourage more school choice legislation and programs all across the nation.

Already, this socialist-bashing young conservative brought David Horowitz to campus, organized a national event to celebrate a Glenn Beck TV special and has begun blogging for, like, a hundred different local and national right-wing websites. This year, Hoffman will be released into the real world, where she will no doubt become the next Ann Coulter.

Military hero, and congressional candidate Nick Popaditch also made the list, along with several liberal activists. Interestingly enough, I am the youngest person profiled.

It is an honor to be recognized for my efforts. Let’s hope they don’t go KGB on me…
