Leftist “Brilliance” and “Civility” Emanates Following Protests

After Van Jones and other progressive organizers called for rallies nationwide this past weekend, the unhinged left continued their “civil” tactics amid the passage of Governor Walker’s (R-WI) anti-union bill.

While they accuse conservatives of being “fascist,” “mean-spirited,” and “oppressive,” it is public sector union members who must learn a thing or two about manners and upholding decency.

Below are proven examples why the Left is mired by hypocrisy, intolerance, and an unabashed embrace of violence.

Case #1: Assaulting and disrespecting a reporter is revolting, not noble.

Fox News is the most-watched and trusted name in news, regardless of what liberals and the MSM spin. Protesters continually shouted “Fox lies!” and interrupted this reporter on the job. Talk about reverence for journalists…unless they are affiliated with Fox News.

From TheBlaze.com:

Case #2:  Blatant intolerance.

If blacks, gays, Hispanics, and other groups commonly swayed by the Democratic Party retreat to the TEA Party Movement and Republican Party, they will be faced with vicious scorn. From Gateway Pundit:

A pro-public union SEIU rally turned ugly today outside the Colorado Capitol in Denver.
The Colorado union supporters started out the day chanting, “Tax the rich!”

But later the unhinged SEIU thugs accosted a gay black tea partyer.
This verbal assault lasted for several minutes.
In this segment the pro-union leftists asks this black tea partyer,

“I just want to know how you can vote against your own best interest.”

Case 3: When disgruntled about imminent budget cuts, calling effective governors “fascist” will hurt your cause:

This assault on unions is not fascist or oppressive. Americans are taking massive cuts to their pay and are suffering from financial hardships. Union members continue to whine and complain that they’ve been attacked. News flash:  these unappreciative leeches should expect to pay for themselves. It is time to opt out of babysitting thugs, socialists, and communists.

One columnist, who is anti-Walker, pointed out the idiocy surrounding this name-calling in the Daily Cardinal:

The individuals who make such comparisons are just desperate for ammunition. They find the slightest similarity so that they can justify their argument. Perhaps Hitler didn’t like unions. Maybe Obama’s health-care system has slight similarities to Nazi Germany’s social policies. But that’s not the point.

Case #4: Fleeing your state and reneging on governmental duties shows weakness, not strength.

The “Wisconsin 14″–Democratic state senators who deliberately put the vote on Governor Walker’s bill on hold–have embarrassed their state and their constituents. WI voters voted for change in November 2010-the change Governor Walker promised while campaigning and subsequently delivered this past week.

Case #5: Shoving your fellow citizens is impolite, not honorable.

In Sacramento, Calif., this past weekend, a TEA Partier was repeatedly shoved and pushed around by an SEIU supporter.

From TheBlaze.com:

KXTV-TV:

The opposing rallies were divided by 10th Street, west of the State Capitol. All was peaceful, until members supporting unions crossed the street.

An amateur videographer caught a shoving match on tape. The video showed a face to face argument right before Richard Andazola, 28, of Stockton, shoved a tea party activist.

“He bum rushed across the street, came right at us, swung his bullhorn at me, hit me in the hand and then put his hand around my throat and started choking me,” Rodney Stanhope of Placerville said.

The video doesn’t show the choking incident, but clearly shows the shoving. Because of it, Sacramento Police officers cited Andazola for battery.

FreedomWorks employee and conservative activist Tabitha Hale was attacked by union thugs as well.

From Big Government:

Tabitha Hale, a FreedomWorks employee, got in a heated exchange while filming a union member outside of her office when she was attacked by the thug. We at Eyeblast personally know Tabitha, and she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and is definitely not an instigator. Not to mention hitting a girl is one of the most cowardly things a man can do.

Just imagine if a Tea Party member were caught on video doing this. All the major media outlets would been looping this for the next 6 months.

…and a cohort was called a “bad Jew” for not siding with unions.

Clearly, union thugs need to learn some etiquette. Maybe anger management while they are at it. How about some medicine to calm their nerves? Check out this gem below:

Until then, the real agitators cannot go unnoticed.

Progressive Org Condemns Comments about Lynching Justice Thomas, Destroying FOX

Common Cause is trying to play it safe following the video released on February 3rd.

I would not buy this ‘apology’, though. Nevertheless, it’s funny that they are apologizing for remarks uttered in Christian Hartsock’s undercover video. Isn’t Common Cause supposed to stand behind its supporters? Still, keep a close eye on the group.

Developing story from the SFGate:

A political watchdog group that organized a rally at a weekend meeting of conservative political donors near Palm Springs apologized Thursday for hateful comments made at the event.”We condemn bigotry and hate speech in every form,” Common Cause said in a statement.

The comments were made during videotaped interviews by conservative activist and videographer Christian Hartsock. The footage was then posted on YouTube and created a stir in the blogosphere.

In it, Hartsock is heard laughing as he goads his subjects with questions like, “After we impeach Clarence Thomas, what do we do with him?”

One white woman suggests the black Supreme Court justice should be lynched, while a white man says, “Put him back in the fields.” No one interviewed by Hartsock was identified, and it’s not clear it they knew who they were talking to.

UCSD Students Attend Anti-Koch Rally, Endorse Marxist Views!

It’s no surprise that UCSD students flocked to the anti-Koch rally in Palm Desert this past weekend. We are SUCH a politically apathetic school, if you recall. Our apathy definitely shows when the administration coddles with the Muslim Student Association, reverse affirmative action, and anti-Semitism.

Again, here’s the video from my fellow activist Christian Hartsock, who exposed progressives and Marxists that day:

Remember, philanthropists and TEA Party members are EVIL in their eyes. And interestingly enough, that’s all The Guardian will cover. Talk about fair and balanced reporting. Read the article from Laira Martin of The Guardian:

UCSD was one of several universities represented at a rally against oil company executives held on Jan. 30 in Rancho Mirage, where a secret meeting was held by energy conglomerate Koch Industries and Tea Party members.

The rally was organized by the California Student Sustainability Coalition, an organization that works with universities across the state to increase sustainability and awareness. About 2,000 protestors, including 50 San Diegans, showed up with only a handful of peaceful arrests made.

“The goal of the protest was to really expose that the Koch brothers were having this secret meeting and continue to raise hundreds of millions of dollars to take over our democratic elections,” CSSC Campaign Director Gabriel Elsner said.

Andrew Breitbart, a frequent guest commentator for “Fox News,” attended the secret meeting held by the Koch brothers.

“He was on roller skates trying to rile up the crowd and insult them,” Elsner said. “It was uncalled for.”

The rally began at around 1 p.m. Participants marched in front of the Rancho Las Palmas Resort, where the Koch Industries meeting was held.

“Getting the Koch brothers into the light and showing the American public what these brothers are doing is one of our strategies to get corporations and dirty money out of our elections,” Elsner said.

Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas were in attendance at the executive meeting— two of the justices who voted in favor of protecting corporations, allowing unlimited spending on elections.

The Koch Industries meeting was to discuss approaches to the 2010 elections in light of last year’s Supreme Court ruling, which protects their unlimited spending.

“[The Koch brothers] are funding far-right wing politicians and groups that spread misinformation about our government so that they can elect politicians who want to deregulate and defund our governments institutions that safeguard the public,” Elsner said.

The New York Times received a leaked invitation to the meeting, according to Elsner.

“[The Koch brothers] keep their company private by owning 51 percent of it, so they can do whatever the heck they please,” UCSD Student Sustainability Collective Director Jared Muscat said.

Muscat organized buses to the meeting in Palm Springs from San Diego. Protestors were also bused in from Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

“The Koch brothers do a really good job of keeping everything they do behind closed doors,” Muscat said. “But they do an extra special job of never having to answer to anyone but themselves.”

The Koch brothers invested at least $1 million to support Prop 23, which would have suspended the “Global Warming Act of 2006,” but was defeated in the Nov. 2010 election.

“The Koch ideology is more private profits at the expense of the health and prosperity of the American people,” Elsner said.

Students from the CSSC are also working with partner organizations including Greenpeace and ACLU.

“We’ve never been too big of fans of the Koch brothers,” Muscat said, “They’ve never really cared about the environment.”

Intolerant Students at WUSTL Successfully Undermine Bristol Palin’s Appearance

Reuters

Whether you like Bristol Palin or not, she has every right to talk about abstinence on college campuses.

Engaging in political discourse  is important in our society. Whether right, left, moderate, or libertarian-whatever- it is pivotal to gauge all viewpoints on campus, not just the Left’s.

Nevertheless, the vehement Left will do anything to suppress conservative views, appearances, and activities. And if it has anything to do with the “evil” surname Palin, expect all hell to unleash.

WUSTL’s independent paper Student Life reported the following:

As news outlets from the Huffington Post to Fox covered the story of Palin’s potential position in the Sexual Responsibility Week speaker lineup, students formed Facebook groups and an online petition in protest. A Facebook group titled “No thanks, Bristol” organized by the Wash. U. College Democrats had over 750 members by Wednesday night.

Additionally, LifeNews.com gives the full scoop on the Bristol Palin pullout:

The college says it “mutually agreed” with Bristol that she should not participate in a panel discussion on abstinence and that it did not have a contract with Palin.

“Because of the growing controversy among undergraduates over the decision to pay for her talk with student-generated funds, the Student Health Advisory Committee and Palin decided that the message that they intended on sharing would be overshadowed by controversy,” the school said in a statement.

The decisions appeared to come after some Washington University students protested Palin’s inclusion on the panel and they described the use of students funds to allow her to be a part of the program. The talk was supposed to take place next month during the University’s “Sexual Responsibility Week”

The protests were led in part by “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh, a member of the Planned Parenthood board of directors who has been in trouble with pro-life advocates for urging donations and support for the abortion business.

“Welcome to the Idiocracy…please join students at Wash.U. to boycott Bristol Palin’s speech on abstinence. What does she know about college or abstaining?” Walsh tweeted.

Dana Loesch, the editor of the conservative news and opinion site BigJournalism.com condemned the decision.

“Funny that people who once accused conservatives of turning a blind eye to single moms as social issue, now ridicule Bristol Palin,” she said, adding that some people “assume that an overpriced education prohibits learning from life experience. I am a Wash U grad, and this is despicable. I am ashamed and will be letting my alma mater know it.”

She said some students and detractors don’t understand that the budget for the event was $20,000 and that the entirety of the funding was not going to Bristol directly.

“Just be honest in the opposition to Bristol Palin. You hate her because of her mom. No need to lie about $ and trash young mothers,” she added. “Wonder how much in student fees Van Jones received when he spoke at Wash U last year. No protest then. “Why do progressive want censorship? Do they realize how it can go the other way when they’re out of power? Why would anyone want that?”

“All that money for higher education and we’re still down the list in terms of achievement compared to other countries. Its a joke,” she said. ‘Second biggest criticism of Bristol speaking? She didn’t go to college.”

As a conservative college student, I know firsthand how unfair universities are in observing neutrality when it comes to funding. If a conservative group asks for money, they receive little or nothing in comparison to progressive, Democrat, and even communist groups.

This is absolutely disgusting. I hope the conservatives at WUSTL press their administration to fund their activities equally. Otherwise, expose the administration for this inherent bias.

Slick Willy to Make a Splash at UCSD with Global Initiative U

Many leftists and their loyalists are defecting from President Obama and retreating to Former President Bill Clinton. He is everywhere lately, from storming the campaign trail to making endless T.V. appearances. Clinton Mania will stop at nothing for  attention.  I thought Van Jones, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Ralph Nader, Norman Finkelstein, and Angela Davis were enough at this “politically apathetic” university! I was mistaken…

The former president is set to take the stage at UC-San Diego this April 1-3rd, 2011 for his Clinton Global Initiative–University forum on public policy issues. UC-San Diego’s administration cannot contain their excitement for the former president’s arrival.

“I am delighted that the Clinton Global Initiative-University is headed to UC San Diego,” said Penny Rue, Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, at UCSD. “It represents an opportunity to host some of the most engaged and passionate college students from across the globe in addressing society’s most pressing problems. We welcome the opportunity to showcase our award-winning campus to the rest of the country and the world.”

Frankly, all that I can see coming from this event is talk about global warming brouhaha, talk about the United States as a human rights violator, and talk about social justice. Essentially, this will be the typical liberal love fest! Brace yourselves, folks.

I will keep you all posted about the event with breaking developments as they come.

This ConJew goes on FreedomIn3D to Talk about UCSD!

On May 13th, 2010, I went on FreedomIn3D to discuss what has been transpiring at UCSD this past week. Be sure to listen and spread the word!

Politically Conservative, Culturally Jewish (and Catholic too) and No Way in Favor of Divesting From Israel

Gabriella Hoffman is the chair of the UC – San Diego chapter of Young Americans for Freedom. She reported through a live blog for the conservative publication “California Review” during a recent student government meeting on her campus related to a  radical measure to divest from Israel’s military, which has been sweeping through the UC System.

After hearing about the incidences of attacks to Jewish students at UC Berkeley with etchings of swastikas and later, various bills that underminded Israel going before the student government, I never thought that my university, UC-San Diego, would have to toil with a divestment bill.

As a Jewish student and conservative activist, I felt inclined to jump on board to help my friends and cohorts in Tritons for Israel-the pro-Israel group at UCSD-combat this tyrannical, ineffectual, and nuanced bill.  To even consider this bill, which indirectly calls Israel an occupier and an entity that violates human rights, is outrageous!

When time came for the ASUCSD meeting on April 28th, 2010, I wanted to do my service to the pro-Israel community by blogging during the meeting everything from public input and from the special presentations made to those on council and those in attendance. I did not feel the desire to speak because frankly, I would have spewed more information and would spare no mercy to the Students for Justine in Palestine group for offending me and other Jewish students afflicted by this horrendous piece of legislation. It was better that I blogged and left this avenue to my cohorts to deal with. So, then came time to jot down everything that was said or retorted to the best of my ability…

As I divulged this awful measure with fellow TFIers, we came across talking points that epitomized this bill. One, AS has no business in dealing with matters that directly coalesce with international affairs. Two, the bill indirectly implies that Israel is an occupier (in respect to Gaza). Three, the bill was not neutral and was targeted for one group’s agenda (the SJP). And four, this bill will alienate the pro-Israel community found here at UCSD.

When recording during public input, certain things were revealed that were conducive to my beliefs and those of TFIers or pro-Israel peers, while other comments and speeches were downright appalling and best representative of that held by the SJP. In this issue, it is hard to be objective. It is between right and wrong (as most cases should be), and to be wrong entails classifying Israel as a violator of human rights. To denounce Israel is simply un-American!

So onto public input and the comments from there.

BSU President David Richardson – He is saying this is a political move. They aren’t picking sides and mocked Adam Teitelbaum talking about claiming we feel alienated.

Janelle Babbitt, BSU member: “AS has no power to invest, so it’s essentially a political vote. This is greater than what AS is a part of. …Fragmented three groups I’m in on campus. Voting in a political stance. Don’t be swayed by emotional appeal. Students are first but this not a student issue.”

Dafna Barzilay, President of TFI: “My job is to support and protect my community but I’m fearful for community of pro-Israel students. This is extremely unfair. Although it never directly mentions Israel it makes offesnses against Israel by taking sources form UN and anti-Israel orgs. It has anti-Israel bias. Peace incorporates talks and negotiations, not to be done overnight, and will take years to do. Reconsider it, but not as a source to peace, Help me foster a cohesive community.”

Israel Grad School at UCSD: “IDF is army of the people where everybody participates. Fights to minimize pain and casualties. Some things are bigger than us. Israeli/Jewish people have no other country but Israel. Jews can live free there, although minority in US but Jews can’t maintain identity except in Israel. In Gaza they elected Hamas, which is a terrorist organization that deprives its own people of human rights.”

Ben Bathlezar, Jewish Voices for Peace: “Is this good for the Jews? Resolution is good for the Jews. Goldstone is someone who needs to be listened to. I urge you to pass this resolution.”

Noam Cadouri, On-Campus Outreach of TFI: “I’m appalled on two things. Conflict is competition of whose awfulness is worse to judge that occupation of Gaza/West bank is treacherous. I acknowledge problems of everyone. To divest from all war worldwide. This is not neutral, if it were really neutral it would bring both sides, not competition. This bill alienates us.”

Brian Pyle, UCSD Student: “Measure to talk about US corporations to not accept status quo anymore. Never had bomb go off near me, why do we want student fees to build more bombs.”

Matt Zillber, Student Policy Director: “Not one penny goes to UC investment fund. You’re lying if you think your money goes to it. GE capital created to lose money to get tax benefits and put out Twilight. Readers’ Digest not responsible for weaponry. Issue blown way out of proportion.”

(This is a fact that SJP fails to grasp, believing that Israel is a human rights violater and evil Zionist nation).

Adam Teitlebaum, TFI Member: “My reputation proceeds me. I’m confused. AS meeting about peace and neutrality profiting from occupation as recommendation to UC Regents to divest from conflict in Jerusalem and Gaza. Two different resolutions. Not discussion about resolution but a debate about Middle East policy. This resolution talks about an issue that is emotionally driven. Fight broke out with a senator last night, regarding event: Apartheid Week. There they’re calling me a Zionist and Nazi with their wall.”

Gaby Abhoot, TFI: “Elevated levels of hate at Berkeley. Swastikas and physical assault. My parents value education and considered moving me from this campus. UC community at whole will be jeopardized.”

Max Hopper, Senior at Muir: “Lack of talking about resolution. ASUCSD widely recognizes inability of a body to adjudicate matters. Deny resolution on these grounds. Two suggestions this resolution is making: that Israel is causing violation of law, or adjudicating action on international law resolution cannot be passed.”

Daniel Desta, TFI Advisor: “I’m here because I’m proud Israeli. Fled Ethiopia and Israel provided home for me. In Israel, everyone is equal. When I lived in Jerusalem, I had to take two buses to get to school to avoid suicide bombers. Would you let them play roulette with my life. But our voice not heard here, bomber killed 26 people in a night club. What are we divesting from?”

Sixth College Senator Leena: “Israel apartheid of our time. Unpopular because against status quo. Support Justice. Institutionalized bias is a vote for no.”

Gabi Tripolsky, Off-Campus Outreach Officer of TFI: “Why do I oppose this bill? Israel is a country where politically and culturally different views are accepted and appreciated.I can associate with community where voice and opinion can fly and be with people who may be Republican or Democrat, gay or straight, european or persian. In Israel, we’re all together, and Israel believes in equality and social justice, because look at Israel, gay marriage is legal, Women’s rights are protected. Thse do not exist anywhere else in Middle East. I’m proud to represent Israel community. Bill singles out Israel and Jewish community. I don’t want my voice suppressed, If passed, repercussions will be something my peers and I will have to face. I don’t want to face Berkeley here. Make my future cohesive.”

As you can see, it was an interesting forum during the AS meeting. Fortunately, this bill was not passed but moved to a committee with 3 TFI offiers, 3 SJP officers, and two mediating AS members to vie for a bill ensuring REAL neutrality. Then again, the Israel-Palestinian conflict will always be embroiled and one where it will be impossible to reach a compromise. Rest assured, I hope this never comes about again at my university, but I have a feeling I will have to brace this problem again.

You will be hearing a lot from UCSD in the next couple of weeks with the heavy bout of liberalism and anti-Israeli sentiments surface. I will keep you posted with David Horowitz (who we’re bringing), Van Jones, Norman Finkelstein, Angela Davis, and Israel “Apartheid” Week come Week 7 here at UCSD (May 10th through 13th). Oy ve! Nevertheless, I will fight for the Conservative Movement through thick and thin.

From Conservative to Conservative:A Plea for Help to Glenn Beck

Dear Glenn Beck and Staff,

I write to you in urgent need of help. As a follower of your program, I have watched closely how dangerous Obama and his affiliates are. I am the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants that left the former U.S.S.R. to come to the United States for its freedom and opportunities. Obama and his “beautiful” change have put our nation in a vulnerable spot, and have transformed our republic into a communistic entity! This is unheard of and wrong. From my youth and beyond, my father did me justice in educating me about the ills and woes of communism, and any of its variants. Seeing teachers strike in elementary school provided such an understanding as to why teacher’s unions and subsequent efforts to get more money (even with tenure and well-entrenched pensions) are unheard of and socialistic. Watching Fox News for over ten years exposed me to fair and balanced reporting, and T.V. personalities like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, you, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin, and other noteworthy conservatives that have inspired me to be a conservative activist and columnist.

Yet, my most urgent concern in writing to you is in how we can combat the arrival of Van Jones at UCSD. Infamous green czar and unrepentant communist Van Jones will be speaking at my university, UC-San Diego, this May 11th, 2010 in its Helen Edison Lecture series. Talk about crazy and obscene! Just to invite a guy like this with his track record and virulent antics is wrong on all principles. Our universities administration will allow this to happen, and there won’t be any counter-opinion to expose him except for my club, Young Americans for Freedom, the College Republicans at UCSD, Young Americans for Liberty at UCSD, tea party enthusiasts from Southern California, and other patriots. To counter this, we have invited David Horowitz of FrontPage Magazine and his respective Freedom Center to come speak at our school for this occasion, why it’s important to preserve academic free speech, and to talk about the ills of Islamo-fascism. During the week of May 10th until May 14th, there will be a heavy bout of liberalism at UCSD with Israeli Apartheid Week and Van Jones, but with having David Horowitz, we can impart the alternative position on campus.

We need someone with your expertise to help us successfully expose Van Jones at UCSD. I am working tirelessly to organize a protest, hand-out fliers, write column pieces/articles about the event, attend and ask questions, and attempt to educate my peers during the process. Any wisdom or help you can impart to us would be much appreciated. We here in California enjoy the great service you are doing for the United States of American with your T.V. and radio programs.

Sincerely,

Gabriella Hoffman
Chairwoman, Young Americans for Freedom at UCSD
